Measurement

Units of measurement were found in the ruins of Mohenjo-Daro and Harrappa. These were scales, and sticks resembling today's rulers. There were scales found in large buildings, widely believed to be either a storehouse, or a sort of political meeting place. These artifacts strengthen the idea that the Indus River Valley citizens used standard units in all measurements. The finest and most precise scales were found in jeweler's shops, and were extremely accurate.
