Decline Of Mohenjo-Daro

Though the Indus River Valley civilization seemed to always thrive, it just disappeared in history. There are many theories on the decline of the civilization. One, is that the Indus River was diverted and irrigation became nonexistent. This could have been caused by an earthquake. A few more viable theories for the decline of Mohenjo-Daro are: 1) The Valley was overrun by invaders, as the citizens of Mohenjo-Daro had no weapons or  defenses. 2) The people of Mohenjo-Daro and Harrappa simply moved away. This is backed up by the fact that in modern Indian culture, there is a huge emphasis on cleansing and the purity of oneself, similar to how the largest building in Mohenjo-Daro was The Great Baths.
